This LED low beam conversion kit is the perfect way to upgrade your car's headlight system. This kit is a must-have for any SC430 owner looking to upgrade their vehicle's lighting system.How and why: Everyone who drives a Lexus with the old HID system knows that they just aren't bright enough to illuminate a dark road, even with new bulbs. This has been a passionate development for me to solve. Sylvania and Osram brand HID bulb are the best replacements out there, but all bulbs have to live behind the factory 35 watt ballast limitation. The LED replacement bulbs on the market that plug into the factory plug have to convert high voltage to low and then they're left with perhaps 30 watts of useable power. This is simply not enough power to make your headlights brighter. I spent hundreds of dollars trying multiple HID and LED bulbs to find you the best solution out there. The only smart way to fix the problem is to get rid of the ballast limitation. Will they blind oncoming traffic? Not if your headlights are aimed correctly. This kit retains the projector cutoff pattern. In fact, it's possible your headlights are aimed too low if your front suspension is sagging!

Warning...nerdy details ahead: HID bulbs work by creating an electric arc between two electrodes inside a gas-filled bulb. This arc generates both visible light and heat. A significant portion of the electrical energy is converted into heat due to the nature of the arc, and this heat is radiated from the bulb. On the other hand, LEDs generate light through a process called electroluminescence. When electrons recombine with electron holes within the semiconductor material of the LED chip, photons are emitted. This process is generally more efficient in converting electrical energy into visible light, resulting in less heat production compared to HID bulbs. So the additional power consumed by the LED creating heat is offset by the improvement in efficiency.
