The SC430 accelerator is electronically controlled like modern cars. Regardless of how fast you press down the accelerator, it will only add power at a certain speed. The throttle controller allows you to alter how fast the butterfly valve lets air into the engine. This results in much more available torque, especially at lower speeds. The factory limited this to make driving be always smooth. You can adjust it to any kind of response you like in real time. Did you know that the A650E 4.3L V8 convertible does 0-60 in 6.6 seconds from the factory? That's ridiculously slow. Unleash the factory restricted power with the only plug and play SC430 throttle sensistivity controller under $100! You'll definitely feel the instant torque response difference at lower speeds. You can also expect 0-60 in about 6.0 seconds instead with this mod alone. Every unit is pre-calibrated for the SC430 and requires no programming. It's like a totally different car. Easy install and feels like a quality product.
Still a pretty recent install for me but no issues yet. My car feels like id like it to now. I can keep it in normal for a nice ride of change it to race mode for a much more “torquey” ride. Cant go wrong with this mod!
My SC430 is a beauty. I love her looks, comfort, and the comments I get from people that see her. Prior to purchasing the throttle controller, I liked the response I got from the gas pedal, but it wasn't what I expected from this vehicle. After reading everyone else ranting about what a difference this makes, I pulled the trigger and purchased one... WOW!! It made such a big difference in how my SC430 responds! It was an easy plug and play install and I was off experiencing my "new" SC430!
Very easy to install under 10 minutes, you will spend more time figuring out where to mount it. I used velcro. Really livens up the car so no delay in accelerating. Many modes: EC .3 or turn it to NO+ (which I think is no change for the throttle response) to keep it OEM. It has 3 settings which it saves based on your preference. Default 3 power settings are 1.3, 2.3, 3.9 but you can adjust it to a new default up or down. I experimented with all of them1.3, 2.3, 3.9. My favortie mod.
